Mechanic (Lubbock)

Need individual with mechanical aptitude or experience who wants to train to work on electric motors.  Will train eager worker, but experience is a plus. Must be able to stand, bend, squat, lift and carry for long periods.  Must be able to work varied hours with overtime possible, including weekends. Applicants must pass background check.

Executive Assistant to the President (Lubbock)

Purpose: To enhance the effectiveness of the company President in his oversight over daily operations of Brandon and Clark, Inc.

Job Duties

  • Take notes at meetings and transcribe them into basic notes with separate “to do” or “follow-up lists” and assist with the follow up on items
  • Coordinate executive communications, including emails and interfacing with managers and other employees
  • Assist in coordination of calendar, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments
  • Organize business travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
  • Handle incoming communications (calls, emails, letters), filtering and prioritizing as necessary.
  • Prepare and organize documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinate with various departments (engineering, sales, HR, etc.) to ensure alignment with the CEO’s directives.
  • Accompanies VP to meetings and in daily activities, mostly at the Brandon and Clark location, but occasionally outside of the location.
  • Manage relationships between Brandon and Clark and vendors
  • Act as a point of contact between the CEO and staff, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Draft and review internal memos, reports, and client communications on behalf of the CEO.
  • Foster relationships with key clients, vendors, and other business partners, often representing the CEO in meetings or at events.
  • Work closely with the HR department on recruitment and staffing matters related to the executive office.

Requirements

  •  Uphold the strictest level of confidentiality
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills, with the ability to become familiar with firm specific programs and software
  • Must be knowledgeable of basic office equipment
  • Develop and sustain a high level of professionalism among other executives, management and staff.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an executive assistant or in a related assistant capacity.

Lubbock, TX

Motor Shop Manager (Lubbock)

Brandon and Clark, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Shop Manager for our Lubbock facility. This role will be responsible for managing all repair shop operations and processes including disassembly, mechanical repairs, machine work, assembly, and final testing of rotating equipment. The Motor Shop Manager will not only oversee the workflow but also actively participate in hands-on tasks as needed to ensure the timely and accurate completion of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality customer service by maintaining clear communication and professional interactions with all clients.
  • Foster employee development and growth by implementing personalized training programs, mentoring opportunities, and continuous learning initiatives that enhance leadership skills and qualities.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) by collecting and evaluating data to identify trends, measure success, and implement data-driven strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and coordinate workflow on the shop floor to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Oversee the disassembly and reassembly of rotating equipment such as pumps, centrifugal systems, submersible pumps, vertical turbines, gear reducers, electric motors, and blowers.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly tested and meets both electrical and mechanical quality standards.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and ensure a safe working environment by reporting any unsafe activities.
  • Maintain high standards of customer interaction and satisfaction, investing in team relationships with sales team to augment customer interaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading a team of employees by providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve organized goals.
  • Technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Heavy experience in management of processes is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUIs in the last 5 years).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with rotating machinery.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using computers for communication, research, work orders, and programming controllers.
  • Willingness to be on a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in industrial environments that may involve extreme temperatures, frequent walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
